Simply exceptional seafood spot! Everything is good! The Clam Chowder and Fish dishes are simply exceptional. A great place to go to weekend Lunch at least once a month.

There's not a lot going on at Moss Landing....yet...Phils fish market has something worth the drive... Fresh fish....straight from the ocean.... A menu list with so many options you'd have to come back....big portions and honestly priced ( not cheap but ok for what you get) I would prefer my fish a little less greasier fried....Attention to detail can make a star of difference and thats why they only get 3... If you are in the area....definitely worth the visit...

I make the drive to Moss Landing when I'm craving Ciopinno and Lobster rolls. The Seaefood is as fresh as it can get! I also really like the Rock Shrimp and scallop linguini. I just wanna sip that sauce. hahaha

Been coming here for years and I think they have the best clam chowder and cioppino anywhere. Anything you get here is good. Other dishes to try out are the steamed clams, seafood quesadilla and the salmon dinner. They also make a mean Bloody Mary! There is a variety of local beers and wines available at the bar.

This Review is way over due. Stopped here on the advice of my now future brother-in-law, saying it's a must stop if you crave great Cioppino; and Phil's didn't disappoint. The classic San Francisco seafood stew is loaded with full crab legs and lobster claws and if packed with flavor. Not too spicy as to blow your taste bud either. Fiancé fried fish was equally great, but I am clearly bias. The place it literally right off of Highway 1, it's a right and then a right and the market/restaurant will be on the left. Be forewarned, parking is wicked limited; so you may have to park down the road a bit. Seafood Lovers Unite.

I have probably eaten here about 4-5 times mostly because of convenience, it's on the way to Monterey. Not sure what all the hype is this place is way over rated and over priced. If you do eat here stick with something simple like fish and chips. Next time I'll try a different restuarant in the Moss Landing area.

I took a trip out to Moss Landing and this was my favorite restaurant in the area. I ordered fish and chips and the clam chowder. The fish was so good, not too salty and the tartar sauce was amazing. I got this order to go so I didn't eat at the restaurant; but when I walked in there was a live band playing and it was absolutely packed. So I know it is a place that many people enjoy, and I enjoyed it too. Its location is a bit hidden and parking can be a hassle at busy times, but I feel like it's worth it!

So amazing, I'm so happy we stopped here on our way through town. Didn't have any expectations when My friend and I came here. But it was just phenomenal! We ate everything, fish & chips & chowder were my favorites.

Phils has great food and atmosphere, however the service has been "very lacking." It's always busy, but waiting 45 min to order is too long, especially since over half the tables are empty. It might help if Phils had more than one register open during the rush, but after the last few times and 1 hour wits to order, this might be the last time our family visits. 5 stars for the food though!

Lots of food so go HUNGRY. They are known for their cioppino and it was too sweet for me. I like more savory and spice. You gotta get an artichokes - excellent. Atmosphere is loud and busy. Overall, a good experience but still looking for an excellent cioppino.

I like this place. It's a cool spot. Food is not amazing, but I wouldn't hesitate to stop in for some crab or oysters if I was coming through the area.

Been going to Phil's for many many years. Like s what happens so often in restaurant business, the food and service are great until they expand. The cioppino is famous but last time it was too "tomatoey", needed more rich broth. Coleslaw needs more zip, maybe horseradish and dill. Employees taking their break at 2 tables, talking loud and playing music on computer and not.ebook device. Employees need a break room and the birds gotta go. We will eat again at Phil's. Good luck.

It was very good. Came here this evening with a friend she recommended this place and I'm a big fan of clam chowder and it was really good. We will be back.

Great little spot where the seafood is as fresh as it can get. The cioppino soup for one is enough for two and the muscles, crab, and fish were amazing. There is a nice little area to easy out side and see the ocean. I would stop here again for sure!

This place is awesome. Some of the best really fresh seafood you will ever find. It's an out of the way place with a line out the door for lunch. Has a fresh fish counter too. We always buy something to take back to the RV coach and BBQ. You can sit out back and watch the whales in the bay while eating which is what we did today. This place is on the west side of Moss Landing harbor off highway one. Bobby Flay the chef came there and did a throw down food show with the owner.

I go to Phil's every time I'm in the area. I love the food and the Blue Grass Music is a bonus. It's a totally casual environment with great seafood.

Love this place! Have been there many times. My favorite drink is their bloody Mary! It's practically a meal in itself! I will always come back to this place! The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is great.

Delicious clam chowder, mussels and a ceasar with anchovies=happy. Friendly staff, too. Next time I'm trying the cioppino, which apparently is better than Bobby Flay's!

My bf was craving fried shrimp and fortunately we stumbled along this place on our way to Seaside. We were kinda in a rush so we got the fried shrimp appetizer (12pcs) and a med bowl of clam chowder. Now, I have to say, this is the best clam chowder I've ever had!! The food was prepared very quickly and the restaurant itself is clean, bright, and airy. Unfortunately, we had to grab our food to go, but I will definitely be back!!
